The Crystal River in Florida is a beautiful fishery on Florida's Nature Coast. Known as the manatee capital of the world, it's also a very popular destination for scalloping. A wide variety of fish can be caught such as tarpon, trout, redfish, shark, cobia, grouper and Spanish mackerel. It's not uncommon to see dolphin hunting their own prey as you fish alongside them. This beautiful river is what drew this week's podcast guest, Jacinda Rose to become a kayak fishing guide on the Crystal River in Ozello, FL.I sit down with her to dine on our freshly caught Crystal River redfish as she tells us her inspiring story (and recounts a couple of harrowing moments).
